Is your keyboard malfunctioning? Hehe. :)

Here's a PSDB post I saved years ago:
English names first, Japanese written in strict romanji second. These are only the PSIV techs. I never bothered to romanize the names from PSII and PSIII though I suppose if there's enough interest I could do that some time.

Attack Techniques

Foi-Foie
Wat-Baata (written as Wata in romanji in PS Compendium)
Tsu-Gurantsu
Zan-Zan (not much change here)
Gra-Gurabuto
Megid-Megido
Brose-Purosedan
Vol-Boruto (it looks like the romanization should be Bolt O_o)

Support Techs

Shift-Shifuta
Ner-Shunera
Deban-Debanto
Gelun-Jerun
Doran-Doranku
Seals-Shiirisu
Rimit-Rimita

Healing Techs

Res-Resuta
Sar-Saresuta
Anti-Anti
Rimpa-Rimupasu
Arows-Arouzu
Rever-Ribaasaa
Regen-Rijenesu

Misc Techs

Ryuka-Ryuukaa
Hinas-Hiinasu

And those are all the techs!

And a reply to it:
It's confusing for those unfamiliar with Japanese if you don't try to put the katakana into more English looking words. :P

Deban is Deband (Debando) with a "do", not with a "to", by the way.

I hope you don't get mad at me for doing the following, Rune Lai! I just wanted to make it easier for people that can't pronounce Japanese!

Here's some of what was shown, only in more English-ized Japanese. As a side note, Foie is pronounced "foy" like boy with an "ehh" at the end (a short E sound.). Foy-ehh.

Wat - Barta (PSO didn't just make it up!)
Tsu - Grants (Grantsu makes more sense to see where the "tsu" came from :P but I'm trying to think of PSO)
Gra - Gravt (Gravit?) (seeing as it is a gravity attack, writing it Gravt instead of Grabt makes more sense to me, and B's take the place of V sounds in Japanese)
Megid is just Megid to me. It's written Megido, but you can't end words with a D in Japanese if you wanted to... and hey, they translated it as Megid.
On the same note as Gra, "Boruto" could just be "Volt". ^_^

Res - Resta
Sar - Saresta (This REALLY confused me in the Japanese game, because I thought it was the next form of Res til I finally used it!)
Shift - Shifta
Deban - Deband(o)
Saner - Shunera

Gi- and Na- are Gi- and Ra- in the Japanese version. Dunno where the Na- came from. o_O

Ryuka, Hinas, Arows, and Seals are really the same as in the English version. They just look funny when written in Japanese.

Rever - Reverser! I love it. Reversing their dying status. :P

Yeah that's all. Playing Japanese PSIV hurts my head, and my rom has a glitch in it during the Lassic fight, so I can't go any further. Dammit.

YOU probably all know this, but here are some things to think about when interpreting the names:
R can always be replaced by L.
B is often used for V.
Long aa, oo and ee are often transcribed ar, or and er. Somtimes aa is better interpreted as er (Ribaasaa - Reverser).
U following a consonant is often dropped, especially and the end of words.
For O following a D or T the same applies as for U. (Thus Doranku is possibly Drunk, which fits with what it does...)
S, especially in Su, is sometimes Th.

Also, though unasked for, I compiled a list of the names of the Skills from the backside of my Mota-map. I've translated the names, except for the Magics:

    Sword skills:
      Sword Cross
      Air Slash
      Ray Blade
      Explode
      Earth bind

    Body art:
      Double Attack
      Disrupt
      Eliminate
      Illussion

    Magic:
      Fureeri
      Hyuun
      Tandoru
      Efesu
      Rejeon
      Diimu
      Negatisu
      Bindowa
      Teruru
      Waara
      Medisu

    Special armaments:
      Flare shot
      Burst Rock
      Positron Bolt
      Spark
      Hyper Jammer
      Recover
      Barrier Field
      Phonon Maser
      Stasis Beam
      Medical Power

    Marial arts:
      Vortex
      Death Size
      Moon Shade
      Sweeping
      Crash
      War Cry

    Secret arts/Mysteries:
      Astral Flare
      Eliminate
      Ether Vision

    "Religious force" 法力:
      Saint Fire
      Holy Word
      Blessing
      Miracle
      Ataraxia

The Techniques are divided into the following categories by the way: Offensive, Offence assisting & Defense, Recovery and Movement.

If anyone is interested I'll translate the descriptions and post them somewhere.

Let's not forget PSU..

DE-RAGON = DRAGON

There are no DRAGONS in PSU. There are DE-RAGONS.

ROFl.. Dragons don't exist in PSU.

Because they are not easily translated. They don't have apparent English interpretations, and I personaly think they are meant to be mystic. I'll give it a try though:

Mogicks:
Fureeri - Flaeli is a good rendition...
Hyuun - This is probably onomatopoeic. Hyuu, pyuu, byuu and fyuu are often used for wind in manga and in speech. I think, hyuu is a strong wind and fyuu a breeze, but it could be the other way around.
Tandoru - Sandaa is how to write Thunder, but maybe this should be Tander?
    Efesu - Efface maybe?
    Rejeon - Legion?
    Diimu - Deem?
Negatisu - Negatis has a nice Latin ring to it.
Bindowa - Bindwa is good and descriptive.
    Teruru - Terroresque
    Waara - Wardla?
Medisu - Medice is good and decriptive.

People have said in the past that Flaeli is supposed to be Fire, Hewn is supposed to be Wind, and Tandle is supposed to be Thunder. I guess they were wrong?
Teruru - Tellur?

I think that one would be Terror, like the Terrify spell of Myau in PSI.

I don't think that they were entirely wrong. My take on it is that the magic names are not supposed to be translated explicitly, but are produced to have names that have the right sound. Tandoru sounds thunderesque, Fureeri fireish and Hyuun is, as explained above, probably onomatopoeic.

You're absolutely right. According to the description it "Plants fear in the enemy, lowers offensive power". I'll change it.
I didn't get it first, because I'd forgotten what it does, and Terror is Tero in Japanese. Again, I think that it is not an attempt at writing terror explicitly, but of naming it something that reminds the reader of it.

Remember.. Phantasy Star is just like most other japanese anime/stories where..

The person SHOUTS his attack out. XD

So instead of shouting Fire, Rune just wanted to make FIRE sounds.. ROFL
