Phantasy Star I sprites

A friend of mine, Yoz, has been working for a few weeks on a complete set of sprites for PS1. I've just published the first version of his work:

It's really an amazing job. He captured sprites under two different resolutions, and he went as far as capturing every single frame of movement. There are still a few sprites missing, and he is currently working on it.

Hope you like it!

whoa cool, Id love to see someone make a fan game using phantasy star 1 type of sprites, that would look so retro and cool.

Why? You can just capture the original and then resize it. Or is that what he did?

I think that's what he did, Benoit, my mistake :-)

He has added a few more sprites including some animations (such as the appearance of Lassic's castle) and... a customized monster:

And he's not stopped yet, there is more to come...

It ain't free, but I don't think it costs too much.
If you want free, go with Sphere.

At the time of PSI it was very space-consuming. ;)
