About a million years ago, I did a bunch of rips for a fangame that, naturally, never went anywhere. I found these lying around and figured it'd be a waste to just let them rot, so yeah, here you go.

These are all RM2k styled, so they only have one hand, but could probably just be flipped if needed. (Missing: Genocyclaw.)

Same goes for knives: Missing: (Mahlay dagger.)

IIRC, all swords in the game.

And the skills that go with them.

All (?) staves.

Foi and Gifoi use the same resources. Nafoi and Flaeli are sized for RM2k3's large animation slots and can't be used in RM2k.

Everything I said about Foi also goes for Wat.

All three levels of Zan use big animations, as does Hewn.

Tsu uses standard sizes, though.

(edit: oh yeah, you'll have to fiddle a bit with the Nathu animation - it's too long for RM's file limitations (). Part of it will need to repeat at least once, but I don't remember the exact procedure; just experiment until it looks good.)

I believe there should be enough room in these spell animations to paste in a caster in the proper location. However, the guy making the game was going to make a CBS, so this may not be true for all of them. Anyway, they can probably be edited to work with most forms of RPG Maker if necessary.

Naturally, these may be used freely as long as Sega doesn't phone you up and make you stop or something. (This does not, however, include claiming them as your own and trying to prevent others from using them. When I say "freely", I meen freely for anyone.)

Anyway, that should be everything. Enjoy.

Come to think of it, this is kind of image heavy...

Now that's a contribution!
Great work on those rips! I'm sure it will help a lot of people out!

Wow.
Those sprites are great indeed. I think many could use those as "templates" to their sprites.
I thank you for all who are going to use them.

Well, what do you know, Genecyst runs under dosbox. That means I can finish off the knives.

Mahlay dagger.

...I'm beginning to remember why I ripped the other knife animations with Chaz. That stupid white coat is nothing but trouble.

Zucca wrote:I think many could use those as "templates" to their sprites.

Yeah, that's kind of the point with the separation of the character and the "strike" sprites, so you only have to edit/replace the character once.

Oh man. Genecyst was the s**t.
I use Gens/GS nowdays. Current git (development) version has quite many features.

You know, I don't think enough people will tell anyone here who has graciously donated graphics that what they are doing is very cool! I really do appreciate all the work that's been put into these sprites, and this topic in its entirety is very helpful to anyone who aspires to create a fan game. :)

Sorry to appear out of oblivion again (like I usually do), but I came across a sprite sheet that I thought would be worth sharing.

http://sdb.drshnaps.com/display.php?object=11907

After some very simple recoloring (would take me no more than 2 minutes in Paint Shop), you have here what could be the perfect Alis Landale sheet. In fact, I'm tempted to find other characters that resemble PSI characters, I could easily make a side scrolling arcade beat em up out of it.

It'd probably end up in game-purgatory, like my other two PS-related projects: II+IV and an arcade beat em up version of PSO. But, the idea's still there.

Good point!
Although I like redheads. :P

And boom. 2 minutes in Paint Shop, and we have near-perfect Alis. Maybe the boots could be made a different color, but other than that she's spot on. I didn't change the armor color because it screws with her sword and eyes.

This is one of my favorite threads. We should bring all of these in a new free graphics section on the main site eventually.

^ Good idea! Freely available resources helps game designers a lot to create the game they are planning/dreaming to do.
