That's what I do to.
I thought you could go frame by frame with my emulator and that you could hide every layer in order to choose just the right one but I can't.

Too bad...

Just don't make the battles too long (and blastoids are way better than slugmess)!

I hope to give him a gun later on...
And have to do something about his feet....

Is that towards me? If so, the battles in my game are... needless to say, a bit different.

O__o Sounds like a bug one would want to avoid.

Indeed, it will reset but I don't remember when. I think maybe at 14300 xp or something.

The Mega Drive seems to use an unsigned 16-bit integer to store the amount of gained EXP in battle, as the maximum is 32767 EXP. When the amount of EXP exceeds that number, the integer 'overflows' and it starts back at 0.

Is it safe to say that's a probable cause of the level-down bug from PSIV?

Unlikely.
Usually first numerical limit in games of that era is 255 (8-bit integer, FF in hex or 2^8-1). That's also the limit in stats on PSIV. But it doesn't explain why that stats start to go down instead of "flipping" to zero.
The experience point limit in PSII is 2^16-1, the 16-bit integer limit as Benoit mentioned.
I think PSIV level-down thing isn't a limit but rather a bug.

Uh... Back to on-topic.

Right. Back ontopic.

I was thinking of releasing a demo of my game soon, since I haven't touched it recently. I'll put in the enemies a few of you ripped and we'll see.
