Certains persons say you mustn't do too many details.
Personnally, more there are details, better it is !

So, you pay a woman to draw the line of the characters, the you colorize those linearts ?

And about Shir, Phantasy Star 2 is the (classic) PS I less know, but a thief dressing like anybody seems me fitting the side "nobody knows i'm a thief" ! But I like her new design, effectively more thievery. If I have to draw her som day, I'll probably let her ancient design, with extra details... as I'm used to do !

Hope this is okay, I really like the line art drawing and the sprite doesn't do it justice, Also I had to kinda guess on colors.
I feel I'll have to redo it once you get it sorted out.

Glad you like it! I think I'm worrying prematurely, since I haven't seen it colored yet.

@Moonlight Shadow- The artist is sketching and coloring as well. She did all of Amy's pic. Good luck with your Women of PS art project! Nice to see these characters getting some love!

@HTD- Of course I don't mind the sprites; I love them! You got her colors mostly right. Her dress is blue with a white band around the bottom, the collar piece is white and her gloves are white. Her boots are blue, though, with the red band around the top. They're the same colors as her original boots, just thigh-high this time. Her dagger sheath is red, so you got that right. I noticed you made her hair cover her right eye a bit. Nice detail! I actually told the artist to do that.

Hope I got it right this time, let me know and I'll correct it.

Oops! I'm sorry, I must not have explained it very well in my last post. Her boots look great, but the white band is at the bottom of her dress, and her belt is still red. That might be way too much detail for a tiny walking sprite, though. Other than that, she's perfect!

I hope this is more accurate lol, if not try and let me know again.

I have Princess Kara in the works with another artist, and Wing-0 is drawing up Warrior Kara. (Hope you don't mind the mention, Wing-0. :))

I think I might go ahead and have Amy's and Shir's artist do Anna as well, so that they're all similar. I'm on the fence about redesigning Nei, as I think the only thing that's really "dated" about her original look is her big bangs.

There's something about Shir and Amy's redesigns that don't sit well with me. Amy in a labcoat seems kinda silly, though does make sense for her being a doctor...though she looks girly/childish because of her pose. And Shir's oozing with sex appeal, which I am not sure is a good or a bad thing. It's the heels I that look the most ridiculous (reminds me of the strange FOnewm/FOnewearl shoes of PSO, for some reason...).

Haha. :D I hadn't even thought that thought, but now that you mention it...

I was trying to make Shir a bit more sci-fi, and yeah, I definitely wanted to up her sex appeal. It's kind of strange that I felt the need to do that, but something about Shir's flirty intro to Rolf made me think "sci-fi flirt."

Maybe I'm being overly critical. I do like the faces and the hair, and the coloring and backgrounds are nice, but I suppose it's the outfits that get me. D:
