Dark Force has owned my soul for a thousand years. I am his slave, his fool, his pawn. There is no home here in this blighted dome and its floating city, only evil.

Heart of a Ghost

New fic! I experimented with this story and mimicked the writing style of Albert Camus' The Stranger for it. Compared to that story, though, I didn't do a perfect job of mimicking. Still, I'm satisfied with the result. Feedback appreciated!

In a bitter battle in the throne room of Lashute, a long-awaited release, a final blow, and a flood of sorrow.

Quietus

This one was a hard one to write. Hopefully, I got it right. Thanks to Jen for helping me get past a small bout of anxiety over this tale. Also, thanks to her for giving me an idea for how to deal with the inevitable Lune fight story, though she doesn't know what it is yet!

To the title: quietus is a Latin loan word that originally meant "he is at rest." In modern English, it has multiple meanings, including "a finishing stroke," "a release from life," and "the discharge or settlement of debts, duties, etc ." I stumbled on it while trying to find a good name for this piece, and I'm glad I did. It fit perfectly.

With neither home nor memories, Maia must depend on the kindness of Landen's prince to live, but that generosity will set in motion events that will revive the past and create the future.

Overture

Dresses are a pain to describe. Now, let it all begin again with the Headwaters arc, the first generation!

A wedding should be a joyous occasion, but what can the King of Landen say to the one happening against his wishes? Though he is not alone in his opposition to the union of Prince Rhys and the mysterious Lady Maia.

An Objection

Things will be getting more interesting, folks!

The Prince of Landen is imprisoned in his own castle's dungeon after his bride's abduction by a Layan monster. The key to his freedom is held within the heart of the Princess of Satera.

I Dare You To Find Her

Next installment, hot off the Internet presses! There's veiled conversation, angst, plots, foreshadowing, and things going boom! The boom was provided by our dear carlos, so many thanks to him for that! If anyone misses the connotations of the veiled conversation, feel free to ask me. Unlike the first noble we saw in Overture, the barbs here are far more subtle.

Palman technology is, if nothing else, durable. How long has Mieu waited alongside that lake shore for her master's descendant?

A Long Wait

Two in a single 24-hour period? Inconceivable! May be necessary for me to play around with my original plans for this arc, so stay tuned.

Maia's trail has gone cold, leaving rumors and stories as the only clues Prince Rhys can follow to find her. Perhaps the tale of a stolen sapphire will take him one step closer to his kidnapped bride.

Rumors and a Sapphire

New fic! Next installment being worked on even now.

Just because she's short and pretty doesn't mean that Princess Lena No Satera is a pushover by any means. If you're not careful, you're sure to be in for a little surprise.

A Little Surprise

Goodness, this was hard to name. A little bit of Jen was channeled into Lena, particularly her practical side and her...well, read the story, will you? You'll see.

Ever since his quest to save Maia began, Rhys has encountered many strange things that have shocked his worldview. But there is one thing that cannot, will not change, an inheritance from the long ago past: honor and duty.

Ancestral Obligation

Latest installment, hot off the FF.net presses!

For some variety, we have some pixel plushies I made a long time I ago that I recently rediscovered!

Image

Say hello to Zio, Rune (both with his cloak concealing his body, and more furled out) and Chaz. I'm happy to work with making more. Anyone have any requests? Reference pics a must!

Cute li'l things, they are. Perhaps, you could try doing a Wren one- I don't think he'll look so overly serious with a little plush treatment.

@carlos PSIII Wren or PSIV Wren?

@Missagh That would be great, Overlord! Do you have any requests you would like to see, Overlord?

I was thinking Forren since the other four icons were PSIV.

Fight some monsters, save the world, make a new friend or two, then go rescue the damsel in distress! It should be as easy as that, so Rhys believes as he heads to Climatrol to save Aquatica from its unending winter.

Climatrol

A bit late. I blame writer's block. We'll be back on schedule for Sunday, I hope!
