I apologize for not making that clearer. What I meant was that in the original SMS version, I recall only one side of the Dezorian town speaking with a bunch of zzzee's. A fan did a retranslation of the script some time ago that features them with more of a "hillbilly" accent. As far as I know, the fanscript was never used in a fan remake of PS1. (http://www.phantasy-star.net had the script)

Congratulations to making it this far, dream come true for many of us PS fans! I have already been brainstorming on the release and distribution and have come up with solutions to host the quite large game file. We will be opening a special page here at PS Cave for this release. Please PM me when the time comes and we will discuss it further then... and take your time, I am sure that we would rather have a complete working translations than a rushed one

I've been rooting for a translation of this game for years and I hadn't done a search in a long while to see if anyone had decided to really take a stab at it. Now that I am stumbling upon this thread I can't describe how ecstatic I am that you awesome people are really making this happen!!

Thanks so much for all of your many hours of hard work! I am super excited to see the completed project and I am not concerned one bit about the (very minor imo) font issues. As long as the game is playable from start to finish that is all that matters. Keep up the awesome work!!

I had to create this account just to voice my excitement over this project. I've been a fan of PSIV for years, and sorta backtracked from there into the earlier games. Keep up the good work!

Thanks again, everyone! Just a quick update to let people know I am still actively doing the final playthrough to fix any bugs I could find.

I am up to Baya Malay, having collected all of the Laconian items, the Laerma nuts, the Eclipse Torch, and the Aeroprism.
So far, everything is going well. The Collab function is kinda neat; I will provide a mini-guide on it. One of the collabs allows you to recharge one person's MP 100%...came in real handy for the Frost Dragon. From the walkthroughs I've seen, the nastiest dragon is still ahead...this is gonna be fun!

We should make a petition for Kyence to translate PSG2 once this one is done, I will try to hint it at every opportunity that I get
