PSIII spritesheet

Postby tilinelson2 » Sun Jan 01, 2012 11:58 pm

Yoz, a friend from Gazeta de Algol, a Brazilian PS site, concluded an extensive job in capturing sprites for PSIII. His work is very detailed, and includes all the frames for PCs, NPCs, enemies, and even many scenario objects.

His work can be seen here: http://www.gazetadealgol.com.br/diversos/sprites/ps3

I would like to point out that these spritesheets include the infamous Twistbot, Swivelbot, and Rotabot that are missing from the US release. =)

What a find!! You could easily upgrade these sprites with the rips laid out like that for you. Beautiful stuff!

It seems that some outer world tiles are missing (e.g. beach, "green" mountains - or forest, I can't really say).

But really awesome and useful job.

How was it done ? ripping directly from the rom or manually outlining sprites and pieces of maps ? (sorry, I can't read portuguese).
