Hey Goldenboy, I know you've been busy with PSGEN2 but would you consider helping me with PSGEN1? I never figured Algoring out, and Blaw- told me there was some sort of error with my files. Tryphon's been very very busy himself lately and I don't think he's gonna find the time anytime soon to help get v3.00 of GEN1 out.

I appreciate your consideration.

Unfortunately, I think Tryphon will never work on it again, despite what he said a while ago.

That's also why I never translated PSGEN1 in french even if it was first planned. I don't want to spend lot of time on a translation if I can't be sure to release something working properly.

We had also planned some others games which will never be translated, like Segagaga.

This is good stuff!

One thing that I think really holds this game back is severe balance issues. I'd love to learn enough about the game's insides to make some balance-oriented edits (something I specialize in).

TP growth being too low across characters
the Defense techs outperforming regular techs in most situations, making them kind of rote and OP.
Anna being screwed over by ham-fisted changes to slicers.
Nei becoming way OP if you keep her. The Animal Claw seems to have been given a 128 atk to make it comparable to Rolf's Sword; it's as if the devs didn't even realize how the mechanics work and how Rolf's swords functionally have half their displayed attack value. As a result, Nei literally hits twice as hard as Rolf in the endgame, which had to be an oversight coming from the game being rushed.

Yeah, I figured that was the case. Honestly, I blame myself; I didn't understand what it meant to collaborate on a project years ago, so I overloaded Tryphon every day with new findings and asked him to compile new builds. If PSGEN2 uses Algoring just like PSGEN1, maybe Goldenboy could help me out. But at this point, I'm not holding my breath and I think this project will always be my one regret.
