Phantasy Star Portable sweeps Japan

"Phantasy Star Portable starts its handheld adventure with a bang yesterday as 217,000 copies of Sega’s Phantasy Star Universe port were sold on its first day according to Sinobi, who also noted that it’s 90% of the initial shipment and several stores run out of stock of the game. Sega have reportedly increased its shipment to 400,000 copies in the wake of the brisk sales, of which Sinobi says many has been reserved as well and not sure if he can get one for himself this weekend."

Impressive numbers, but shouldn't this thread be under the Phantasy Star Universe section? =) It is a port of the game.

Good news for Sega, I guess. I still don't know much about the actual game. I'll have to read up on it.

Haha, you can tell I don't read what I'm posting half of the time. I swore that I heard someone say this game had a different story though.

I heard it includes a lot of PSO weapons that can be transfered to your "non-portable" characters.
