There's nothing in the scripts indicating that Dark Forces die when the Profound Darkness does. That's fan speculation by PeaGuy who tries to pass it off as canon. Because PeaGuy can't be wrong!

The Bishop never stated that Dark Force is an extension of the Profound Darkness, and neither did Le Roof. More evidence to support my statement that PeaGuy is clutching at straws.

I would consider the closing of the hole as proof enough that Profound Darkness was destroyed, ...

Wren senses a time warp. Basically that could mean anything. :( I've been wondering that...
Anyways. I think that just means that the dimension hole is about to collapse.
Also I agree that PD is most propably defeated in this scene.
