You say Dark Force isn't a part of The Profound Darkness because of some argument that emotions is separate from a person or something.

Then how do you explain Nei and Neifirst? Eh? EH?

Neifirst and Nei are a phenomenon we don't have enough information about to determine their relationship.

Let's talk seriously.

All released Phantasy Star games are canon, whether you like it or not.

Both PSIII and PSIV are sequels to PSII. You can't call PSIII a side story because if PSIV never existed, it'd be the proper sequel to PSII instead of a non-important side game.

There is a possibility that PSIII was made as sequel to PSII and when developing PSIV was finally started the team chose to drop PSIII from the plot (at least much of it, since there still was world ships in the plot as PSIV tells us so). Why did they chose this was because multiple endings didn't fit the whole story very well.
It's possible. I admit it.

Also the time loop thing actually messes the story much. Since if there's a time loop all the endings can be right... Infinite number of universes and so on... Blahblahblah.

I'm pretty much in agreement with Zucca. They used elements from III, such as cyborgs (retconned to androids in IV) and worldships, and made the story non canon. IV is officially the 3rd generation of the series.

What also bugs me is when fans at PSOW try to connect PSO and PSU to the original series. They are REBOOTS for heaven's sake.

They never were cyborgs as far as the development team was concerned. They always were androids and robots.
made the story non canon

I still call bullshit.

By, for example, speculating that the planet that the Alisa III lands on is Coral, the home planet of the pioneers of Phantasy Star Online. Or maybe Coral is the new name of Motavia in the future.

They are grasping at straws. Like PeaGuy is doing with his "PSIII was retconned" nonsense. ;)

I dunno, they didn't actually call PS4 number 4 after all. That could leave it wide open (for semantic debate)!

Although if we are going to look for evidence of un-canonization, then I'll like to think that the world ship you find in PS4 is just the Alisa III having exploded about five minutes after take off. I think losing Mieu and Lena might be worth it-

Wait, no, that would kill sunglasses-man too! Dammit!

PSO and PSU are gonna be connected though.

It's not nonsense, it's a logical conclusion.

As for the earthmen housing Dark Force, simple: Dark Force must've inluenced other galaxies to do its bidding. On earth, it's regarded as Satan, Beelzebub, etc, housed in some box sealed by some Greek heroes from a long distance past.

...And I completely don't know what I'm going on about now. LOL.

And this is why I like the English translation for a change, because it seems more like DF was created by the evil that the people of Earth had festering in them for so long and that their DF had no prior connection to other star systems. I prefer how the evil of the Earthmen is squarely blamed on their own errant behavior and disregard for their planet and not on some outside force that just happened to come along and turn them evil. The impact is much greater, in my opinion, because it forces us to see the potential evil we all harbor.
