Fighting Sand Worms at this stage really isn't bad. You do die maybe 60-65% of the time, but the amount of EXP you get more than makes up for it. Just save after every battle. My strategy is this:
Put Demi in the last spot (it's best for her to not get hit during the battle because of MEDIC PW. Rune can use Rever, but he's your hardest hitter).
(2/3/4) Infant Worm
Gryz: War Cry
Chaz: Attack
Rika: Saner
Rune: Defend or Flaeli (Flaeli if 3/4 Infant Worms)
Demi: Defend or attack (attack if 4 worms)
Once the Infant Worm burrows:
Gryz: Attack
Chaz: Crosscut
Rika: Gires if some got hit and didn't die, otherwise DBLSLASH
Rune: Giwat (or Nawat if applicable)
Demi: MEDIC PW if someone died, otherwise attack or Dimate
The worm should get no more than two turns. If it uses Earthquake, reset. You get a ton of experience if you win.
