That was awesome.

It was also one of the first RPG's I ever played. Well the first with a leveling system.

I actually still like the simple story. It was how most every game was back then. We cant all be Ultima. (Ultima was out on SMS at the time and I played that along with Y's while trying Phantasy Star)

When I finally played a Final Fantasy years later(FF 7) I just found the plot confusing and it seemed to get worse the further in I got. The characters were interesting and it was a fun ride, but the simpler plots of Phantasy Star were and still are far better.
