Only one character can equip them, and that one character is long gone by the time you get to Dezo. Unless they were trying to troll people into thinking they could get Nei back, it makes no sense whatsoever.

I think possibly because you can’t find them anywhere else in the game, so the game devs possibly didn’t want to end having up them as lost items? Not entirely sure. Other low level items like the knife and ribbon can be found in Dezo too.

Yup, very true about the Ribbon. The Knife can still be equipped by people in your party when you get to Ryuon.

I think the developers ran out of time and just threw whatever in the shop. You have to admit Dezo does feel a bit rushed compared to Mota.

I still maintain that they probably didn't do enough playtesting of the later Dezo dungeons (especially Naval), because the difficulty level is just off the charts unless you either use the Visiphone frequently and run like hell from every battle, know exactly where you are going, or both.

There's no real story advancement on Dezo. See Lutz, get equipment, go to the final dungeon.

Having a Dezo native join you and reveal some things about Mother Brain would have been cool, for instance.

Yeah. After seeing Lutz it's exploring for Nei items while grinding for exp and mesetas to buy the equipment from towns. After that Lutz spits out the rest of the plot and that's it.

One oddity is the Magic and Mogic Caps. I don't remember them used in other PS games... But that really doesn't add anything to the plot.

In PSI Dezorians often lie? Right? I have totally forgotten the Magic Hat in PSI. :\

Yes, they mostly lie in PS1.
