If anything, it would have to be done on an emulator.

I know this is a super old post, but I do remember back in the day having a Game Genie that had a code that was one hit kills. My brother and I did end up killing Army Eye. The game ended up soft locking. We were unable to go to the Satellite and basically we just got to go around Mota to our hearts content.

Due to Game Genies on Genesis not allowing games to be saved, we were unable to save the game, so it didn't pose any threat.

You can actually softlock the game this way by running from Army Eye. There's only a 1/256 chance of succeeding, but if you do, the game treats it as if you killed Army Eye (as it does with other bosses).

It's unlikely that it was intended to allow you to run from boss battles.

I call beating Army Eyes as "an alternative ending". :D

The dams were opened and Mota saved from flood. The End. ;)

Is using an Escapipe at the start of PS3 also the alternative ending?

Maia is still in the room, no dragon, no war, Ayn lives happily ever after, the end
