Bernie lives?
Posted: Wed Feb 18, 2009 9:59 pmEven though it's always been assumed that Bernie dies with Zoke in "Seek My Master", I chose to live in denial because he was one of my favorite NPCs. 
Lately, I've been replaying a lot of the quests so I can level up my main character so I can finally beat the ultimate dragon. I've been playing in Very Hard mode, where I did the Black Paper/Sue/Bernie storyline. I went into Knowing One's Heart (with Elly and her mysterious friend), and Bernie was in the Mines 1! He said hello to me and told me that one of his comrades had died and he was still investigating the truth. I'd never heard any mention of this before. Is there more plot to uncover? Has anyone else run into unexpected people in the other quests?
