I played SFII on second hardest level. I seemed too easy even then. Well actually it's just too easy to boost Karna to lvl99.

Playing Megaman 10. It's pretty fun.

The stages are difficult and the enemies are fun. The robot masters are in some cases relatively easy to really hard (Blade Man).

The weapons are actually more interesting than in the last game and the music is catchy in most cases, especially Nitro Man's stage and Sheep Man's stage.

Gotta love the little helmets that shoot at you. My favorite enemies in the Megaman series.

I honestly had gotten Megaman 10 not long ago on the wii... I was heavily disappointed myself... I just don't like the whole, 2 button, no additional options (buster, or jump) you got with Megaman... Mega Man X... NOW THAS the way to go!

Megaman 9 is a return to the roots of the series, designed to emulate the experience players like me and many others had when we were children. The sole fact that they released the tenth, is good proof that enough people bought the 9th and that they wanted more.

The inclusion of an easy mode was to address people who wanted an easier experience, always a plus to get more players.

If you didn't like it, you can always delete the game and curse Capcom forever. Many other players, including me, will keep enjoying it.

I'm sure, but don't shun the X series... They kept releasing them as well... Wasn't 10 the last one made, shortly after X was, and then from there, it was all Mega Man X games, and the RPG ones on GBA? I use a question mark cause I'm actually asking, I'm not sure if that info is right.

Yeah, SF 2 is way too easy, even if you don't cheat(Using Heal to level up etc.) but I still just can't stop loving those games, almost as much as PS.

Megaman... I've had an on/off relationship with. I loved 1 & 2 when I had them as a kid, but they were just too damn hard for me.

Now that I'm older, I've played almost every single one of Megaman's incarnations, and even with all the bad things people go on about, it just feels the same to me. I love just running around shooting things. Megaman X5 is a personal "new-generation" favorite of mine, as it was the first of the X games I had contact with. Also, Guns 'n Roses ftw.

My favorite today would have to be... Gee, I dunno. I can't really decide. Guess I'll just pick the obvious choice and go 2. That game is perfect on so mane levels. Metal Man pwns all.

I've never shunned the X series, which is one of my favorites among the series that I still play. If they were to make a Megaman X9, I'd like it to have the features that made me like that series so much.

Your info is wrong. When they made Megaman X, Megaman 7 was the most recent game released, or was released relatively close to it. Afterwards, they made the Megaman.EXE series on GBA and the Megaman Zero series on GBA as well, to continue somehow the .EXE series on DS and the ZX series as well on DS.

A classic Megaman with the gameplay it had in the age of 8 bits is always welcome to come with all the graphical and gameplay limitations it had back then for more than just nostalgia.

One-two combo

Most modern games are far too forgiving to my tastes. That is not to say I look at the past with those rose tinted glasses. I still play my old games from time to time and they still remain a good challenge, whereas games like Metal Gear Solid 4 I can finish easily on the hardest difficulty, imposing handicaps on myself.

Megaman 9 and 10 are good because they are difficult enough to keep me entertained.

I agree with Wing-0 here, most games today(even those that are reputably HARD) just hold your hand too much.

I mean look no further than PS 1, now that is a hard game. Even if you know exactly where to go and what to do, It's still damn hard to get there. Compare this to PSU, in which the only difficulty lies within frustration. Now I'm not saying PS1 isn't frustrating(the battle system comes to mind) but when you do finally finish it, it's so satisfying. With PSU you go "Uhh, that was hard mode? Pshaw."

I dunno... I feel the Dragon Quest series still sticks to it's roots, only changing the graphics as it continues... Dragon Warrior 1 - 6 were simply fantastic... Well, 1 for it's time, anyway... Never played 7, but I was BEYOND PLEASED with Dragon Quest 8... I found it difficult, fun, and addictive.

I guess it all really depends on what game you're getting your hands on, is what I'm trying to say... Dragon Age Origins isn't too easy either, nor holds your hand... There's good rpgs out there, you just have to be willing to give them a shot before overlooking them.

Hmmm Dragon Quest 8... Gotta get back to that one some day... I left my file before the fight with Dhoulmagus in some weird island. Some fairy looking guy helped me do something...

Or... crap, I think I'm gonna have to restart.

But Megaman 9 and 10 still need to get finished...

I just restarted Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 in Normal difficulty. Hard is going to have to wait until summer...

Portable entertainment is my friend's copy of BlazBlue for the PSP. He bought it and didn't like it. Says he expected it to be just like Guilty Gear, but it doesn't resemble GGXX at all, except for the music and the visuals to a degree... Heh, more for me... If I save some money in the future, I'll end up buying it from him like many other games he buys, does not like and I end up liking.

GO BACK TO DQ8!!! Seriously, though... It's fucking awesome, even after beating it, there's more to do, er... more "NEW" places to go. I never got to play Fallout 3, nor Ninja Gaiden Sigma, which sucks, cause I'm a huge fallout fan, and Ninja Gaiden was my favorite for a time there... As far as the new era of NG, I've only played that first one that came out on the old xbox.

Lately, I've been playing Free Realms, because my girlfriend is addicted, and online gaming with the woman you love, just... It makes any game a gazillion times better! Rom playing, I've been finishing up Shining Force II, and am working on getting translated copies of Shining Force III for the sega cd... Oh shit, thas illegal... But it's legalish because it's abandoned. If anyone else here is interested in playing the new quests in Shining Force III, let me know.
