First impressions people?
I find the game fantastic, the most entertainment I've had. For the first time since PSO I actually spent the entire day playing. I like to think that means something.
In the beginning I was actually favoring Kirby, Yoshi and Bowser...the new characters hadn't excited me that much in their playstyles. But that was until the new Star Fox character came along...
Muaha!

Now for a bit of honest criticism.
The game's adventure mode is pretty well-done. The addition of bosses other than Master Hand are a nice touch. But for gameplay, I find it rather stiff compared to Melee, and it's not because I'm using a wii controller: I'm still using a cube controller for it.
I'm rather disappointed that certain characters weren't removed (so far I haven't seen Pichu, Jigglypuff, or Mewtwo... thank god) such as the ice climbers, and further disappointed that they deemed another earthbound character necessary. Furthermore, the dude from Pikmin? Get real! We lose Roy and get Ike? The only time I've seen Ganondorf at all is in adventure mode (and that was only during a cutscene). Meta Knight, yes. King DeDeDe? No.
Anyone else having trouble beating the event mission that requires you to protect the pikmin until they bloom? I swear I bounced around for two minutes without them all blooming, and was finally knocked out of the ring.

>3<!!
I can't wait to play this game when I get to my cousin's house.
I'm just kinda upset that Soren didn't make the game while Ike did. (Ike? C'mon he's like Roy and Marth's kid. I swear.)

Everyone has their opinion I suppose. There is a fan for every character.

Not sure what you mean...but I have felt a bit of "stiffness" with landing. But it was done to remove wave-dashing.

It took me about 10 tries on hard...but I finally got it. I think it is safe to say that this event is by far the hardest of the first 20. (Or maybe one must have to be adept with using Olimar).

Wow

I though everyone owned a Wii. It's the new "PS2"

Kind of hard for everyone to own a Wii when there still are massive shortages of them.

-flails- I want a Wii!
I might get one for my birthday. /doubts...needs money for her anime convention than a new system.

Wow, I've been gone a while, but being that I have been playing this religiously for the past week, I find myself compelled to respond.
Brawl. It's the sex. A very fun game, especially in multiplayer (which you all knew... nobody picks a Smash Bros. game up for the single player mode). Surprisingly, though, Subspace Emissary can stand on its own (even if it is a bit goofy at times).
Generally I like the characters, though Wolf having a Landmaster for a final smash still pisses me off. I'm glad of Lucas, as introducing another Earthbound character will maybe mean that we'll get another Earthbound game. Ike for Roy? I'll have that any day, as Roy was a clone, and Ike couldn't be more the opposite of Marth. I'm a little pissed that they dummied Samus so much (even though Zero Suit Samus is cool), and why they needed to make the Ice Climbers any better (or appear in the game...) is a mystery to me. However, they balanced Fox, finally, and Marth is still slightly overpowered, but at least bearable.
The features in the game are awesome. Challenges give you incentive as well as replay value, and stickers are fun to collect. Also, being able to collect so many different songs kicks ass, and being able to tweak their occurrence is even better.
All around, I think Brawl beats Melee into the ground, just like Melee beat the original by miles. It's all around a more engrossing game. So, if I played Melee for 7 years, how long will I be playing Brawl?

How dare you not mention the awesomeness that is Lyndis as an assist trophy!
Poor Lyndis.. She deserves more love than Marth and Ike..
