Hello everyone. I made a comment in a recent post of mine about languages, and I decided to make a whole thread on it.

What is your 1st language, and what other languages can you speak ?
Either partially or fluently ?

My 1st language is English.
I also learned to speak an old native American laguage called "Shawnee".
I know a little Japanese that I picked up from the martial arts.
I have been considering learning the rest of Japanese, and also learning Hebrew.

1st language: Portuguese

I also speak English, Spanish, and understand (hearing and reading) a bit of French, Italian, Latin and Greek (though the greek alphabet gets me confused sometimes). I would like to get more into other indo-european languages, such as German, Gaelic, Hungarian, Farsi and Sanskrit.

Finnish and English.

Also little bit of Swedish and Italian.
I can understand spoken Spanish sometimes. Spanish sounds so close to English and Italian languages. At least in my opinion.

My first language is Romanian. I'm also fluent in English and am pretty good with French (although I'm not fluent in French). I can also speak and read a little Japanese. However, I still do need a dictonary most of the time to be able to translate Katakana and Hiragana. Kanji is too hard though even with a dictonary, but I'm still working on it!
