My copy of Senjou no Valkyria 2 (Valkyria Chronicles 2) came on the mail today...
I have mixed feelings about this title... The gameplay heavily resembles the PS3 prequel, and that is a good thing. It has loads of improvements to the gameplay, but the maps are very small, so in each mission you need to play in two or three to make it an enjoyable experience.
Gameplay wise, that's the only downside I have found in the game, especially since most of the maps in the original ranged from big to freakishly huge.
That said, I'm actually enjoying it. The characters, while TYPICAL clichés, are actually nice. Avan Hardins is the typical hot blooded male lead with a seemingly low intelligence and a huge heart. Zeri (no surname) is your typical cool, determined, yet distant at the start companion and in the end best friend. Cosette (forgot her surname) is the typical clumsy aspiring medic with good disposition and a severe problem of hematophobia (how the frak are you gonna be a medic like that!?).
