There's also the ears. I've seen a cosplay picture here, and I'm not convinced it'd be very easy to get the ears good enough for such a... rigorous activity while still having a realistic feel. The naivete of a girl who's only lived for 2 years would be pretty hot, though.

Personally I don't like Nei-costume. It's a f*king swimsuit! Everyone else in PSII has more reasonable outfit. But eh... Maybe Nei was grown in a water tank, and for some reason there wasn't no other clothing than swimsuit available when Rolf/Eusis found her. Or at least He convinced Nei so. How dirty of him!
Anyway I found no reason why she wears that costume.

True, she has no real reason to wear something so skimpy, but I bet the handwave is probably something along the lines of her animal side doesn't like the weight and thickness of clothing, so she asked for something thin and light so she wouldn't feel it on her. The game states that she hates carrying a heavy load, they might've taken it to the extreme there. There's also the possibility that it might've been a niche fashion in the PSII world similar to the Goth-Lolita fashion in Japan, hence how Seed gave Rika an armored equivalent to that swimsuit in spite of the fact most parents would have to pick their jaw off the floor if they saw their daughter dressed like that.

None of the numans in the original series wear more than a leotard. Rika was given shoulder pads and a capelet, but still nothing to properly cover her bum.

It's all fanservice, obviously: Sexy semi-catgirls for the catgirl fetishists out there. The Drama CD numans take the fetish to new heights.

Oh, and the weapons store owner in PSII is only wearing a leotard, too, but you can't tell in the game. Some official Sega artwork out there shows she's not wearing any pants. A lot of sci-fi stuff from the 1980s into the early 1990s assumed some women would be waltzing around in leotards (or less) in the future. It was a fad at the time.

Fallout 3 is an interesting game.

Been on a Valkyria 3 run for the past two days. The game has branching paths in most of its chapters, which leave uncleared missions once you finish the game's story. Once you finish, the missions become available to you again as extra content and just to see what the second ending has when you get the other girl.

Some of the missions in this game are simply incredible. The use of limited resources is great. They made fun maps and missions that vary, despite reusing said maps. This is definitely one of my three top favorite games on the PSP.
