So who is watching it?

I just saw Argentina's performance, it was awesome!

Personally I care mostly about England. Our performance, tons of shots, tons of misses. Our were 1 up, then near the end of the first half Green slipped and failed, let the ball gently roll in. Draw. Dad wasn't happy.

I'm disappointed in the Mexican team. The suckers ended in a draw against South Africa. I WANTED THE MEXICAN TEAM TO LOSE!! BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT SOUTH AFRICAN FOOLS!!

All I want is to watch quality Football, not the damned Mexican team and listen to the disgusting paid commentators talk wonders of bad, overpaid players... Especially not when Felipe Calderón, that spurious president of mine (fraud, I say!) went to the World Cup with the money we pay for taxes!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHH!!!

My hopes are in France kicking their asses and the next team as well... PLEASE, FRANCE!!! MAKE ME PROUD, THE SAME WAY ZIDANE DID FOUR YEARS AGO!!!

I like Soccer, but not when merchandising takes it to a whole, horrible new level in here. It can get horribly disgusting.

How can germany suprise people? They've been a top 5 contender in the World Cup for that last couple of decades.

Honestly, I find their gameplay rather boring sometimes, so I did not have high expectations.

England better do well, but i don't think (at least anymore) we are actually a serious contender. And WING-0, aren't you Mexican, why do you want them to lose :L

I am mexican, yes, Semix. The reason I want my team to lose, and in the most horrible way possible too is because the two television networks, Televisa and TV Azteca advertise it in the most horrible way. They shift ALL its media attention towards it, leaving out important issues.

Let me give you a bit of a background of the political situation here: Last year, a daycare installation burned down, with babies and small children inside. The ones responsible for the tragedy are being subjected to investigation this very moment. However, since they are high ranking politicians and their relatives, there is an intention to absolve them. To let them go. They are doing this RIGHT this moment, because the mass media is only talking about Soccer. 49 children dead because of negligence by several organizations. From health to political ones are responsible and the ones behind them are going to get away with it. Soccer is a diversion for the masses.

Just google "ABC daycare tragedy 49 children dead burned"

That tragedy happened in my city. I got to see the place and got to meet several of the parents and shit... Those people just can't sleep at night over the grief.

Mass media diverting attention here is nothing new. It annoys me how they push real issues out of the window with some cheap entertainment like it happens now.

Soccerwise, I actually hate how those players act. They get paid a lot. A LOT and they suck ass. They advertise them as if they were wonders, but they play against crappy teams and they lose! Only South Africa so far seems worse than them. They were locals and they couldn't beat them!

And the guy who directs them? He gets paid FIVE MILLION DOLLARS and that's the shit training he comes up with!?

I really, really, REALLY want them to lose. There's no way I can enjoy watching them play, even less give them a shred of support. Soccer is not a nationalism matter for me. 49 kids burning to death is more important.

I guess you can more or less see why I'm not cheering for "my team".
