Someone posted a link to this. It's not a remix or anything, but hey, it's game music!

It's the Valkyria Chronicles 3 Main Theme. Hitoshi Sakimoto's is by now one of my all time favorite composers. The feeling this song gives is overwhelming.

Awesome stuff, Wing-0.

Ch-ch-check out this Cheetahmen remix:

http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01954/

I'm not sure a game like Cheetahmen II* deserves such an awesome remix, but this has been rocking my iPod for days now.

*Which borrowed music from the first Cheetahmen. I also think it's a little unfair that this game gets the "worst game" award so much. Yes, it's bloody terrible, but someone figured that out and kept it from being released. It's still amazing they produced so many cartridges, but I think to truly earn the "worst game" title a game needs an official release. Being released completes the circle of badness, because someone(s) had to put their seal of approval on the game and invest in producing, marketing and distributing the badness.

This time I'm posting a remix.

Boomer Kuwanger's theme from Megaman X

This is one of the best themes for bosses in the whole series, IMO.

This time I'm posting a link to a video. It's an opening to the update (in arcades) of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift.

Of course, it's an animated opening. The song is Shinsou (Deep Blue), sung by Asami Imai, who also voices Tsubaki Yayoi (the girl dressed in yellow with a hat and a cape fighting a guy dressed in blue).

I must add, that I'm a sucker for her... She's got an excellent voice and is quite funny to listen to as a radio host, especially when she starts pulling jokes and messing up what she was going to say.

Not quite the same, but fun nonetheless: Because I am the coolest teacher in the entire world and we have to spend our budget money or lose it every year, I ordered a band arrangement of themes from Halo for my 7th graders last year. We performed it at our May concert and I got a copy of the DVD from the chorus teacher, but when I try to play it on/rip it to my computer, I don't get any sound. I'll keep working on it, but in the meantime, you can listen to the arrangement here: http://www.jwpepper.com/10014943.item

For the record, my kids didn't do the singing parts terrifically, but my drummers NAILED their parts. The kid who played the gong repeatedly scared the crap out of people. It was awesome.

I have to say my favorite remix of video game music of all time has to be the remix of Boss 3 from Mystic Quest, seen here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2iT58mlRLc

It takes all the cool aspects of the original score and just amps it up to dramatic proportions.

Yet moar Valkyria of the Battlefield 3. This time, it's the official opening for the game. It seems like Sega went the Macross Frontier route for this one. I had thought it was funny they cast two main characters with MF actors, and the selection for the singer of the main theme just confirms it.

I'm drooling like mad here...

Ys III: Wanderers From Ys has the greatest video game sound track ever written.

All the music was remixed in the remake, Ys: The Oath In Felghana.
