Posted: Fri Aug 07, 2015 11:08 amAs far as I remember, you needed to beat him with two players. Maybe plugging in a second controller and getting at least one hit in with Tails is enough?

Posted: Thu Oct 29, 2015 7:10 pmI did this with the xbox 360 version and if I remember right I started a two player game and never played Tails.
I just played Sonic and let Tails do his own thing. He always came flying back on screen after he got taken out.
I think he just has to be there and does not actually have to do anything.
