I just upgraded from Mozilla 1.4.1 to Mozilla 1.7 Beta. I can note some handy little tweaks. Better cookies handling, for example. The Cookie Manager has been improved and that nasty little bug which caused the list to jump to the top after deleting a preference has been fixed. :D
And they were right about the rendering engine being improved. At Lufia.net my avatar is a crystal from the game FFV. On earlier Mozilla versions, the animation would be slowed down. But now it animates at full speed! W00T! :D
Download Mozilla today!
http://www.mozilla.org

I envy you, our sysop decided to downgrade from 1.6 to 1.5 instead of upgrading to 1.7. There were many glitches apparently. Oh well, I use FireFox nowadays anyway. Tried it?

I do remember reading on the official website that I couldn't run it, so I looked up the system requirements.

Operating Systems
* Windows 98
* Windows 98SE
* Windows ME
* Windows NT 4.0
* Windows 2000
* Windows XP (Recommended)

I have Windows 95.

Minimum Hardware
* Pentium 233 MHz (Recommended: Pentium 500MHz or greater)

I have a Pentium II 233 Mhz.

* 64 MB RAM (Recommended: 128 MB RAM or greater)
* 52 MB hard drive space

Now that I have. I have 160 MB RAM and enough free space.

I've had awful experience with the SUN system. My school uses it, and it seems to be a massive downgrade from the average PC.
But... maybe Mozilla is great on a PC. I've only tried it on the SUN system, and it was probably a older version.

If I change to Linux there's a lot of software that I won't be able to use.

Siren --> Our SUN-boxes arn't very good either, not by todays standards. SUN-machines have one important edge over Windows PC:s though, which makes many system operators prefer them. They are very stable and require little maintenace.
Benoit --> There are emulators! :D I really shouldn't talk though, I run XP myself. When I get a quicker connection I will change to some type of Dual system, I feel much more at home in Linux than in XP.

I've heard about Windows emulators, but using Windows itself is always far better.
