Assuming that you like to be bored, I'd suppose that that's not a bad thing. But if you're like most gamers, you'd like new locations and scenery, right? If all you ever seen in a game was the same three green, red and blue backgrounds, no matter how much the gameplay was worth, you would get bored with it faster because it didn't catch your eye as much as other games. I'm sure you're getting sick of a casino level (while fun) in every 3D sonic game...it wouldn't have been too hard for the level designers to come up with some new locations...I think that they're just getting lazy at Sega.

Don't fix what ain't broke...
Besides, it's not in every Sonic game. And the levels are different enough to keep me busy. It's not like I'm playing the same stage.
Also bear in mind that this game has 14 levels when playing with Sonic. Almost all are different from each other. You haven't played the whole game, it seems.

And Siren is right...the music, and in my opinion, the voice overs are one of the worst featuers of Sonic. The spacing of the dialog is enough to make me puke! Example of the dialog in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 (I don't know about Heroes): Tails:"Sonic, we have to stop Egg man!" 5 seconds later "Yes Tails, we must!" big pause "Look! He's getting away"
Stuff like that...and the script itself isn't great either. A little more effort would go a long way...

The dialogue is fine. I haven't seen/heard anything like what you mention.
The bottom line is, that, as with every game you play...
appreciate the game for what it is, and don't bash it for what it isn't.
