Whoa, you actually leveled up that much in PSIV without the use of cheat codes?! I had everyone at about level 50 when I beat the Profound Darkness and it still seemed pretty easy to me. Especially since I had taken Raja in the party.

316 hours of gameplay. this is on a PS2 Genesis Collection disc, I rarely play the other games like Shining Force XD

So yeah, Chaz is 94. I don't remember the others exactly, but I'll check if you wish, I'm playing .hack GU right now anyway. Although, I think Rune is 78, Rika is 82, Wren is 91, and Raja is 60. To be honest, I thought Wren would be higher level, but he's not, it shocked me when Chaz one-up, two-up, then THREE-up'd him lol.

Anyway, even at LV99 you can't beat Re-Faze.

I belive Re-Faze has 2^16 or 2^15 hit points (depends on if the system can allow negative hit points). In other words: enough.
I once read someone beating it using emulator and savestates. When the hitpoints dropped then he/she saved and edited the save state to raise the HP again. After battle,,, nothing happened... What didn't happen was that Chaz never learned Megid.

Oh god, really? So Re-Faze dies, and you never even learn Megid... talk about a bust. But hey, at least pissed off Alys fans get revenge XD

I'm sure the Mega Drive can do negative numbers, but for enemy HP I think they used unsigned integers.

Re-Faze doesn't have unlimited HP, but it's not possible to beat him without cheating because his Megid is so powerful and his HP is so high that you'll run out of recovery items and TP before you can take him down.

Man they should've done a Rhys-escapipe with Re-Faze saying you can't continue because you hit a glitch XD

Player HP can be maxium of 2047. Which is (2^11)-1. So, at least for players, the reserved space for hitpoints is 10-bits. I strongly belive that monsters have much higher maxium hit points. And I belive Re-Faze has the maxium.
