Heh, I confess to being a Metroid nerd. I completed Fusion with 100% under 2:00 too. That was fun...
Uh, I'm not sure of it's just me, but I prefer the side-scrolling Metroids over Prime.
Also, I think they did alot to keep the story in Metroid, without cut scenes. Metroid Fusion hat a great story line, especially with the Metroid Vaccine and the SA-X. There's also a conspiracy going on within the station having to do with the Metroid, and also what they to do with the X. I won't say anymore, because I might ruin it, but if anyone has played Super Metroid (I haven't, I just pieced this together), you're going to recognize Adam...

Samus doesn't like skin tight body suits Lord Khyron. The Chozo made the suit special to her body in order for her to perform her reflexs and movements. They also invented the weapon.

There is nothing wrong with bodysuits or swimsuits or teddy-like armor for that matter.
I go by the Zero Mission piccies and see Samus in her bodysuit..
Run around in it..
and conclude it's under her outfit and it is NICE. :)

Samus does wear skin tight body suits. And those reflexs...they're only enhanced, she can do flips on her own (Metroid: Zero Mission). And the Chozos made the FIRST power suit for her, but well...
/////////////Metroid Zero Mission Spoiler////////////////////////
The first one was destroyed when the Space Pirates shot her down...she found another that the Chozos had used (look at the monument behind her when she gets it) and used that. Notice that the one while you journey to fight Mother Brain, even with the Varia Suit, still looks different then the second Power Suit that Samus aquires. Further evidence is that the previous suit was incompatible with the Plasma Beam, Gravity Suit and other Mystery Power Ups.
///////////End Spoiler////////////////////////////////////
And another plus is that Samus is incredibly smart. Still, I think that Khyron picks NM-2011
even though she is the worst choice.

And for those of you who have completed Metriod Fusion, you can hook up the GBA to the GC and play with the Fusion Suit in Metriod Prime.

Now that I think about it by looking at the pics again, that new enemy looks like a Chozo. Doesn't it?

Yes...it does. Maybe something to do with Phazon?
Anyway, has anyone seen the Metroid Prime 100% ending? It kind of gives foreshadowing for the next Metroid Prime... but I must say, it seems alot like Metroid Fusion's story...
By the way, I linked up and played as the Fusion Suit. I really like the Fusion Suit, in fact, I think it looks the best, especially after you kill the last SA-X and restore ice-beam functionality ( something Adam thought you would never be able to do).

Yep, Fusion Suit looks the best. Metroid Prime is the sole reason that i bought a GBA and GCN link cable.
But yes, that looks a bit like a Chozo. That's bad...as if the Chozo Ghosts weren't enough. If you read the Chozo log entries, you realize how much the suffered, and how they hoped Samus would come to destroy the evil.
PSLassic, did you get those from Nintendo Power? I've seen those very shots in there...

I got them from GameSpot. http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/action/metroidprime2tentativetitle/screenindex.html
-----NEW INFO!-----

Nintendo has officially released more information about the Cube's upcoming bounty hunter adventure.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes brings Samus into a new planet with new evil. As usual Samus has been sent in to get rid of the hostile aliens that roam the planet. However this planet is a bit different from the ordinary. The planet is split, one gets light, and the other covered in darkness.

Nintendo has also mentioned that Metroid Prime 2:Echoes will share a resemblance to the Game Boy Advance, Metroid Fusion. The similarity between the two is because Samus will be hunted by an enemy.

Now for a multiplayer update. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will have a 4 player deathmatch mode. As you can probably guess the mode will have gamers hunting each other while becoming more powerful by picking up upgrades. You can even try and run from a fight by switching to morphball mode and rolling away. If you want to stay in first person view, take out the grapple and swing away. Basically Retro Studios has made Echoes in such a way that you can either use the things around you to run or just pull out your beam and take the fight head on.

Thats all we know as of now, but stay tuned as we learn more once E3 arrives.

About that new planet, do you have a name? Because when you find that hologram of all the planets in the Research Center, I don't remember seeing a split planet.
