I highly recommend you to get the Shining Force III Scenarios for the Sega Saturn if you fancy playing good stragety turn-based RPGs, but you will have a hard time finding it as it's rare nowadays.
Apart from the the old Shining Force games on the Mega Drive, that's all I can think of.

I would love to get my hands on Shining Force III. But you're right, it is almost impossible to find. I've heard almost every little thing you do changes how the storyline goes, is that true?

all I can say is LANGRISSER 2 for the Genesis is one of THE BEST strategy games I have ever played.
It is the second in the series of games of which Warsong was named for 1 and 2.
Langrisser 2 is a 99 percent translation to English, Nothing sacrificed except the ending translation of the credits.
It is awesome with the LEADER giving troops bonus in the command range. And plus if the leader goes up high enough, a new class and bonues and more troops.
You can end up being a Hero who went like this:
Fighter, Mage, Highlander, Swordmaster, Hero
That would give you Archers, Armored Horsemen, Armored soldiers, Gladiators, Phalanx and pikemen to choose from as troops!
All in all a awesome game. Benoit knows it
P.S. Satoshi Urushihara is the man!

[Edit by Lord Khyron on [TIME]1087004044[/TIME]]

Sounds like an advanced Fire Emblem! Does anyone else play Fire Emblem? I'll make a thread about this...

I love fire emblem on GBA!
And Langrisser is more intricate. I mean at the beginnin Elwin can hire 6 normal soldiers and Hein 6 guardsmen.
If you keep the soldiers inside his command radius, or Hein's, they get a few bonuses to attack and defense. Plus the commander can attack with full power, usually doing his attack power minus the enemies dfp in damage.
But leaders can be hurt! They have 10 hp, Units have 10 members each. A leader can heal 3 hp and 2 mp instead of movement, but the healing doesn't help if he's repeatedly attacked.
Hence why formations to put the troops in front.
Ask Benoit about it

I would love to get my hands on Shining Force III. But you're right, it is almost impossible to find

I actually just got SF3 not too long ago. You can find it on eBay and in most cases you'll only pay a little more than the original MSRP (I think I got mine for under $60 and it's in excellent shape!). I have yet to really play it though because I was so turned off by the horrible graphics. They tried to go all 3D and now everything looks so ugly, especially the battle scenes (which were always so nice to look at in the Genesis versions).
Speaking of hard to find saturn games: I always thought SF3 was the ultimate. That is, until I started looking for Panzer Dragoon Saga. Holy crap!!! They're going for like $200!!! It's insane! Has anyone played that game? Is it worth it?
As for Fire Emblem: I just found out the other day that there's going to be a NGC version coming out next year. Looks pretty nice too.

Yep, the GCN version looks pretty cool, and seems to retain the feel of the GBA version, too. However, let's hope the graphics are still in development...they aren't too pretty.

Well, the date may or may not be real... but I didn't even know the game was coming out at all.
