No.. a scene in the OVA series specifically uses FALARIS as the god they fought. The SNES game sums up the fight like this:
"
[Prologue] Battle with Pharis
Fahn, Beld, Fleve, Wort, Niece and Flauss assemble before Pharis. They engage
in battle, striking with all their strength and casting their most powerful
spells, but nothing has any effect. Suddenly, Pharis casts a powerful
earthquake spell. Her evil sword, Soul Crusher, strikes Flauss. She falls
over, injured.
Beld runs to her side, and the sword strikes at him too. But Karla appears and
turns the Soul Crusher aside. Flauss dies, Beld walks to the weapon and
inspects it, triggering a flashback of a village with Flauss in it. He then
picks up the Soul Crusher, the illusion vanished and the battle begins anew.
The party, lead by Beld wielding the Soul Crusher, strikes at Pharis until
she falls. But it is an empty victory for Beld, who remorses Flauss. The other
party members gather around Karla, as she vanishes. The battle is over.
Time passes..
And Karla awakens.."
This happens years before the Lodoss War OVA series begins.
PHARIS is FALARIS or PHALARIS however you wish to translate it. God of Darkness I believe. Her statue is in the Lodoss War DC game with Shoedle.
That is the event I reference to. When Beld and them defeated the great evil.
[size=small][Edit by Lord Khyron on [TIME]1078457860[/TIME]][/size]
