In this particular instance, I think it would be safe to assume PS3's "Time-warp" ending would not be a plausible explanation simply because it would mean that the DF from PS3 had endured travel to earth (probably, Sega would say AFTER the "earthmen" had f***ed it for all it was worth), corrupted and guided the earthmen to Algo, likely helped them construct MotherBrain (no, I don't mean he picked up a welder and got to work. DF has always been a real lazy ass and you know it!), and launched the satellite into Palma.
While at first glance it would seem to be a sound theory, it does conflict with the 1,000 year Dark Force rule: "Every 1,000 years you get a new jackass to wreck your sh*t". This would mean there are two DF active in PS2.
Altho one could argue that DF seek destruction at any cost, yet don't interfere with the work of other DFs. This could mean that the PS3 DF is in an infinite loop of time where he assaults the Palma evacuation ships, loses to 2 of 4 possible grandchildren of Rhys, and gets to go back to earth to start it all over again.
