Recommendations?

Postby Wing-0 » Mon Jun 08, 2009 3:47 am

Can anyone recommend a GOOD anime series? Doesn't matter if you think it might not appeal to anyone else. I've been watching several series lately, but none have managed to keep me hooked...

I can, but you'd have to tell me what kind of anime you're interested in first.

Hmmm...

I can tell you what I don't like instead, it's shorter this way:

Highschool dramas
Magical girls
Stuff aimed at females with lots of pastel colors

That pretty much soms it up... There is more, but yeah, this is pretty much it...

Rushed edit:

MOE.......
Yaoi........

No thanks...

Devil man is also (I.M.O.) very good and one of my favorite anime's.

I thought Deathnote was an excellent anime. Scenario wise, it ended as best it could, but I still didn't like the way it the ending finished.

An anime I checked that ended up being really fun despite being set in a school is Hyakko. It is making me laugh.

Gungrave is a very good anime if you like mafia themes. It has a good story too. I recommend it. Corey/PSP recommended this to me years ago.

I didn't read it. I found out about the anime from a past AIM convo with the guy. I'd like to see a sequel based on Overdose seeing as that's the only good game in the series.

Since no-one else mentioned Elfen Lied yet, which is kinda surprising, I shall mention it.

I watched a few episodes and I thought the show was average. The manga is apparently a bit better, but I haven't read it. I'm focused on Berserk and Bleach atm. :P

Elfen Lied was the one that really got me into anime, followed by higurashi, both of which are my 2 favourites..
