Free graphics for fan projects

Of the rips you posted Daren, the ones I didn't already rip were fireplant and scorpion. Thanks for those, I'll add them to my game when I get the chance!

BTW, for those wondering, yes my game is still alive. It just took a backseat to some other projects of mine (namely my arcade beat em up remake of Final Fantasy 1).

Because I'm in a good mood, here's some rips of my own. Credit would be great, and I was actually gonna post these at TSR/Drshnaps at some point. Some of these took like 3-4 hours to rip too.

I played around with newly installed fractal generator - Gnofract.
By half accident I managed to make a fractal image that represents the big entity splitting into The Great Light and The Profound Darkness.
Use it if you like. :)
I think it may need a starry background.

Here's something interesting that I knew of but forgot to post. It's a boss from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood... it very closely resembles a certain character(s).

With little color changing and sprite editing, you have yourself a Castlevania styled Nei/Neifirst/Rika. This would be good for that sidescrolling project mentioned on this same board.

If you guys want, I can take a minute or two in PaintShop and color swap the sprites to be Nei/etc?

Well, NickyP, I have a recolor or two of that exact sprite already that I've done myself, but, I need more than just a recolor, I need a fully animated sprite, which is full running, jumping, attacking, ect ect.

I've tried to create animations myself, but I stink at it. A lot. And I'm the main programmer of the game, so I know what need. But I haven't done diddly cause I don't have the sprites needed.

Naaa, these where my practice sprites done over a year ago, I've been doing my own for a few months now and since Summer is drawing to an end I've started work on more. For every Sprite you see there, there's a replacement either done or in the process of being completed and of course I'm going to have a big update in my game tread soon

This is sortof an update for the 2D project, since it dawned on me, a 2D game featuring the very first girl of the Phantasy Star series, ain't that bad of an idea!

It took a lot of time and effort to make the sprite look like Alis, a LOT of work! Look at the original sprite colors!

Mostly it took me a bit to remember the proper potential Alis had. All I really need now are some decent enemies and a good set of backgrounds and I should be set.

Anyway, I'm glad you guys like the sheet, since it took me most of the day to make it.
