Does anyone have a completed copy of A Scarlet Phantasy?

Postby Cyath » Sun Oct 12, 2014 10:02 am

It's a fanfic by DJ Smith from many, many years in the past, when people still used Netscape Navigator. (for those of you who even know what that is...^_^) I've always wanted to finish reading it but I don't know whether it was ever completed.

I've tried searching using the Wayback Machine and similar sites, but even they find it hard to find content from before 2000.

It's a long shot, but has anyone here read it or may know where to find it?

Since you tried using the Wayback Machine, do you remember what site it used to be hosted on?

Heh, the only mention of the story is on my archived copy of Phantasy Star: Beyond Algo.

EDIT: Checked old sites using my webring and didn't find it. :(

No, unfortunately I can't remember anything about the website other than that it used to hosted a variety of other PS fics as well. :(

I managed to find it by crawling defunct Phantasy Star sites's link sections. It was hosted mainly at The Shrine of Ghaleon. This is the most recent copy of Lunar: A Scarlet Phantasy I could find, and probably the latest. The update for 20 August 2000 reads: "The long-running fanfics Lunar: A Scarlet Phantasy and Zophar's Last Slave have been removed from the fanfic archive. The authors no longer plan on finishing them. Their e-mails can still be found on the main fanfic page if you wish to contact them.".

Wow, thanks man! Your Google-fu is insane. (or should that be Wayback Machine-fu?) In any case, your help is much appreciated. (bows)
