Damn I've been away for a long time. I kinda got depressed at my current situation and stopped programming entirely. I think I even deleted Eclipse...not sure. I've been feeling the creative urge though and decided to scrap any part of my old project that involved collision detection. It's cuz, with the tools I was using, collision detection was a big pain in the ass, and it wasn't working right, and there's like 8 variables I had to constantly keep changing and fixing one thing would mess up another...I would need to recode some parts from scratch and my coding wasn't as elegant or well commented as usual as I was actually making RAPID progress lol.
I'll cross post this into my main program thread (doubt too many people are even following). As I got most everything working code wise for a playable battle simulator...I think I'm just gonna do that. Nothing fancy, just attacking and healing to begin with, maybe a chance to shop for stuff every few battles. Just something to waste time. The way I think of it is that the collision detection pretty much sidetracked and derailed my project, as the tools I was using were good yet bad (incomplete).
Maybe Sega will take notice if it ever gets popular (and complete) enough that they will shut me down and re-release
