Mega Play magazine's first preview of PSIV was in their October 1992 issue.




This basically mirrored the preview that was in the August 1992 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly.




The screenshots and article stem from at least one Japanese magazine, such as one from BEEP! Mega Drive, covering the 1992 Tokyo Toy Show where Sega showed this material for PSIV.

Thank you for sharing these classic EGM/PS4 related scans! I had the EGM August 1992 issue when it first came out and was thrilled when it was reported that Nei and Wren were returning. As we eventually discovered, the Nei role was filled by Rika in Phantasy Star 4.
