Damn Pollux!

Postby ThePeaGuy » Wed Apr 13, 2005 6:01 pm

I'm currently stuck near the end of the Hunters side on PSO Episode 3. It's all down to this boss thing that calls herself Pollux. Everytime I try and fight her, she always seems to take me down no more than 5 turns.
Can someone recommend me some helpful strategies to help me fight against the boss, please?
Thanks.
PeaGuy

[Edit by ThePeaGuy on [TIME]1113415338[/TIME]]

Sure, here are my tips:
1- Try a technique deck. The only way I can beat Pollux is to fight with Glustar and use all of the basic attack techniques with Card Return for reusability.
2- Some people favour Relmitos/Twinkle Star decks, but I've never got one to work against Pollux. (I've only one Twinkle Star, though.)
3- Another common idea is to use a Sil'fer deck with the combo of 3 Daggers and 2 Mags equipped. Spending 3 ATK points can deal 30 damage, which is useful.
I only use a Glustar tech deck though.
SPOILER ALERT:
If you have beaten Castor on the Arkz side, then after you beat Pollux, you'll go on to fight Amplum Umbla who is even more difficult. So be warned.
END OF SPOILER
Hope this helps.

I used Sil'fer against Pollux with a Savitri Mag, and some sabers.
Daggers aren't really useful because if Pollux guards, your damage may be too low to get through her Weak Block (or whatever it was called) property.

Pollux has these abilities (I think):
Weak Hit Block - 3 or less damage always misses (just like a Pan Arms).
Timed Pierce - after 8 turns, Pollux gains the Pierce ability, allowing her to get past all equipped items.
Ultimate AP Growth - before each of her turns, Pollux gains 1 AP.
Benoit, that's the only drawback with the dagger deck, so I rarely use it.

I used 2 tech fields, Ino'lis and Concentration with each tech.
Ino'lis rocks!
Or I use Saligun, Savitri and Dragon Slayer.

You like Saligun too much, Khyron!
I couldn't use Ino'lis against Pollux, she was 'already dispatched,' but she is my overall favourite Force Heroside.
