PSO advanced?


Proving once and for all that Sega can port anything, pictures of Phantasy Star Online Advance (as in Game Boy Advance) have begun to leak onto the internet, as well as information (if vague at this point). PSOA will support both Nintendo's wireless network, as well as the GBA 4-player link (though single cart will not be supported). The game will be similar to the original PSO in location, but AREAs will be smaller, Monsters will have less variety, as goes for weapons as well; on a high note, 50 all new quests are to be included. Much like Crawfish's FPS for GBA, PSOA will feature psuedo-3d environments with sprite characters.
Though no release date is official, rumor lends itself to a world-wide launch for PSOA this fall.

This week, I had two new tests at school and it went pretty well, that's why there havn't been any updates, but don't worry, I'm still here ^_-

FTP down..
Well, I have been trying to upload the Roms but FTP is down, I can not access my server through FTP at this moment. This has happened a couple of times but allways gets fixed after a while.

You're not gonna believe this, there will be translations of:
Phantasy Star 1
Phantasy Star 2
Phantasy Star 3
Phantasy Star 4
Phantasy Star Gaiden
Phantasy Star Adventure

That is, 6 games, 43 roms! How many translations of the games do you gess it will be!?!?!?

Walking through walls.
this is pretty neat (submited by Ryan Arbuckle):

"I have found out you can use a dagger to walk through walls in pso.
It seems that any weapon that lets you take a step back at the end of the third
attack will let you do this. I went through four or five doors and some fences
today with daggers equipped.

The technique to do this is to turn your back to the fence or door you want to
go through, then face a wall and do a three-hit combo; you use the wall to keep
you from going forward while you attack, the third attack will knock you back
into the door there are a few sources that deatail how to do this (i think the
may 2001 issue of "xp gamer" has one, a good one with pictures)"

This will be added to the PSO cheats page when the PSO section will open.

Well..
Ok, I have to say, I can not make it, to upload all of those ROMS will take all night to tomorrow morning and that will be impossible for me to perform.
So, you all have to wait till Friday, expect each PS game translated into about six different languages (really, not joking).

Well in Sweden, we have lot's of tests at school at the end of school, that's what taking my time right now.

I rock!
Yes, I finally got the PS II German translation working when joining the patch!!!
YES!
This is great, I'm not sure the translation page will open today since I'm going to even upload the .ips files if someone want to use them for personal joining the ROM or something like that...

Anyways, expect the translation page open soon, I have a test test at school friday, so if the ROM page do not open tonight, then I will probably not open until friday since I have to study the test tomorrow. Sorry for that, I'm human too =)

New domain registered.
For sometime ago, I did register phantasy-star-online.com for free to use the e-mail forwarding accounts, but now, I have payed for the domain and it's fully registered, you can now access this site from there too. Now ain't that just something special ^_^

Oh, the ROM translation page is going pretty well, hopefully the section will open tomorrow (you know how my promasts use to be, but I'll try.).

Then when that section have opened, the PSO content will be added.
There is a very secret project going on, and please trust me on this one, when I will break out the news about this project, it will be huge!

Why the PSO section hasn't been opened yet is that I really need to get the ROM translation page up first before I can even consider opening the PSO section.

During this week, the ROM translation page will be up, then I'll show you how much PSO content there is going to be here.
