Phantasy Star Generation 1 Walkthrough - Part 11: Paseo Palace Dungeon

Paseo Palace Dungeon

The labyrinth is very simple, despite its look. You can't run away using Myau's or Lutz's Exit or the Soothing Flute. I recommend you don't waste your time with battles now, so just use Alis' Escape (ラクスタ) to run away (although you can run away from a lot of monster groups with ease) and use Myau's healing spells if you take too much damage. Now you just gotta go straight forever and keep falling through the traps at the end of each floor. Unlike what happened on the Master System, if you disarm those traps, you won't be stuck. It doesn't happen here because the spell has a time of effect, and when the effect is gone you can fall through the trap again. On the last floor, the labyrinth is apparently without a way out, but there's a secret way there. A funny thing is that if you have an Atlas (アトラス) left and use it here, the Atlas will reveal the secret way. :D

More interesting is that with Lassic defeated, almost all shops won't sell you anything else and you won't be able to buy an Atlas if you didn't have one and you wouldn't find the secret way "unintentionally" with that item. :D

At the end, you'll open the door to face the final enemy: Dark Falz!

It's not hard as it may seem. Use the same strategy we used against Lassic. The difference here is that Myau, instead of using Power on Lutz for him to keep attacking, Lutz should use Gi-Flare (ギフレエリ) after Hell Invite. Very easy. After defeating him, enjoy the ending sequence and be happy that you've finished a game written all in Japanese! :D

Attention: From now on I'm going to talk about the game's ending as it's in Japanese. If you don't want to know about it now, don't read it!

After defeating it, the party will automatically go back to the Paseo Governor's Palace. He will apologize and say he probably has been possessed by some evil force, and Lutz will identify it as Dark Falz, which we just defeated. They'll also say that Lassic probably was just a puppet in the creature's hands, which wished for destruction. The Governor will tell Alis about her being the old king's daughter, and she will make that face of who already knows it and say it before him. The Governor will be surprised. Then he will ask you the final question: If Alis wants to become Algol's queen, since she's the throne's heiress. If you answer "no" (いいえ), Alis will thank her friends and the game continues, without any objectives, although you can go back to the Governor and he will ask you the same question again. Answering "yes" (はい), the ending continues. Like my friend Orakio said in his logbook: There's a nice scene where Odin and Myau say that they'll stay to help Alis govern. Lutz says he can't stay because he has a dream he wants to come true: gather others with the same powers as him to keep Algol at peace. If you know the entire Phantasy Star series, you must know what that means and I'm not spoiling it. :P A This is the beginning... will appear. Probably because when SEGA made this remake, it planned to make all the other games from the series. Too bad that, among those games, just the remake of Phantasy Star II was done.

That's it! Congratulations!
