It seems that 'Joe the Necromancer' has been necro-ing threads, and posting absolutely nothing of value at all.
For example:

*resurrects thread*

Just to let you know.

If you are open to an idea, I think that any thread that goes for more than a month without a post should be locked, just as a preventitive to that from happenning.

That's way too extreme, Gipper.
Besides, there might be -good- reasons for resurrecting a thread.

Speaking of which, is that "post your desktop" thread active? I wanted to post my pretty desktop there instead of creating a new thread just for that.
That would be a case Benoit was thinking of.

Go for it. It won't bother anyone, as long as it is appropriate for the thread.

I've seen "post your desktop" in many forums.
Most posts in there would contain one of the 2 things:
-Post A picture of your desktop
-Comment about other people's desktops

Good grief...
You know Mage1, every time you reach the point when I think you might have some sort of intelligible conversation in your cranium, you prove me wrong.

If you are open to an idea, I think that any thread that goes for more than a month without a post should be locked, just as a preventitive to that from happenning.

That just takes up unnecessary space on the board. And as Benoit has said before, it's better to kick up an old thread than start a new one about the same topic.
