My Phantasy Star Fan Art (Hope you like Numans)

Hey everyone! I just joined the site and wanted to post my recent Phantasy Star fan art. I just started trying to teach myself graphic design and can see the results at my DA site:

Here's a sample of a little of my work:

I have better (and worse) pieces, so feel free to check 'em out. I'll try to post scans of some of my earlier works going back many, many years. So be afraid!

That's pretty good. Would be excellent for a Phantasy Star animated series, should that ever be made.

Indeed, that's pretty good. Your style is simple, but effective. Your shading more than makes up for the few colours you seem to use in each image, though you seem to overdo it sometimes.

Would you mind letting PS Cave host your works? :)

Thanks for the input guys. And yeah, I really don't even know how to do anything complicated with the program I use. It took some grinding (never thought I'd use that term for something that is not an RPG) to get this far with it. Of course, it doesn't help that my eyes aren't the greatest for seeing color (I might be red-green deficient), hence why I only sketched in pencil over the years. But hey, always try to work your hardest with the skills and tools you got, even if neither are the sharpest out there. :)

And yes, feel free to host my works on the site. I greatly appreciate the recognition and am pretty honored to stand them next to others' works I've seen over the years. Yeah, I've been a lurker for a little while. ;)

Been gone for a little while. Work and Street Fighter/Blazblue have been keeping me busy. Here's something I have been slowly trying to work on:

That is just beautiful. The style is simple but effective and Nei looks both beautiful and powerful, without being fan service-y.

Thanks a bunch! Nei makes a great character to draw because her design is relatively simple (yet memorable) and that suits my style very well. I'd draw more of Rika, but that armor can make things a bit tough for me. My earlier Rika sketches came from when I was still figuring out how to work Inkscape, so they're pretty crappy. But there will be more of her in the future, no doubt.

Thank you, thriwren. And to keep this ball rolling along (and sticking with the Numan theme), here's a little Rika I did up very quickly today. I used the line-art from an sketch I did about a year ago. It was interesting adjusting from my older sketching style from back then. Mercifully, it's not drastically different. Enjoy!

*Edit note: Whoops....forgot to color a point on my earlier post. Fixed up now, though.
