So, what's new? I can't see it because they turned it into Yet Another Flash Site(TM).

It's all in Japanese so reading the katakana's the best I can do. The presentation is pretty slick. I flipped through the character section and saw a bunch of anime schoolgirls, cowboys and androids. In the "NPC" section there is a young man named Kai who has an absurdly large sword and a scar running down the front of his face between the eyes.

If that isn't reason enough to avoid this game, I can't help you.

There is a new section on the story, and some further sections to be added on character creation etc. Since they changed to Flash (why??) translation is all of a sudden much more cumbersome, since I can't just copy unknown Kanji to my dictionary, but I'll see if I can't make some sense out of the Story-video.

So far I must say that I'm not impressed. It looks very childish. Of all the spin-offs so far, I've liked the design of PSU best, but just slightly more than PSO, and though the controls are slightly better in PSU the game-play and story is far superior in PSO. That being said, I like neither of them, so I guess I'm not very hopeful regarding this either...

<OT>The problem with these flash implementations in web design is that they code them to work with newest flash and firefox. Also flash is quite CPU hungry.
Have you ever tried measured how much watching video from youtube uses your CPU? Then use a special utility to download the video and then play it with your movie player and see the difference.</OT>

The one sole complaint I had about PSO's character design system was you really couldn't make the Newman Force look like anything but "a demented court jester".... I know many people liked the idea that you could see the panties of the female one... but really... it did nothing to inspire "I'm an almighty spellcaster" idea that was what that class was supposed to be.
