Lutz heard Alis' scream, which is what prompted him to rescue Rolf. This proves that Lutz has a connection with Alis, but not Rolf.

The Compendium has the following in the AW 1284 entry:

Immediately afterwards, Eusis and company defeat Dark Force, Mother Brain, and the Earthmen race, but what happened after that is unknown.

As for Lutz hearing Alis' scream, it's from the PSII script:

You finally made it. I'm Lutz, the last telemental on Algo. You seem surprised that I know you name. Don't you remember? This is the second time we have met. I saved you from death after an accident on a spacetrip with your parents when you were 10. What woke me was Alis' scream. So you are the last descendant of Alis who fought to protect Algo.

So I was right. The compendium listed Alis bloodline as having been ended with the destruction of Palma which makes sense when one thinks about that one NPC in PS2 who said something to the effect of, "Yes, I remember that name being on the last shuttle". And if Rolf lived out his days on Dezolis, then it makes for a difficult argument in trying to link Chaz (who even looks like Rolf a bit) to Rolf(Alis') bloodline.
