Man, I've been posting like crazy today. Sorry. Anyway, another question - whats the deal with this? I saw somewhere that there was Phantasy Star 1 for the Japanese Mega Drive (aka Genesis) At first I thought it was a typo, and saw a picture and INDEED the cartridge itself was a Japanese Mega Drive. Was this simply a straight port? Or a bit of a remake? Anyone know the story behind this?

Straight port of the Japanese Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System. Thought to be a limited edition, but it's easily found, so it's not sure.

The PS1 for Mega Drive was released only in Japan. It has no differences from the original SMS game. If I found a rom, I wouldn´t be bothered to download it. Would be worth it to have the cartridge, box and manual, though.

I just got this game for my emulator today, and I have to say its not a great game at all. Its terrible, but the story line is perfect. (You get HP by eating "Burgers") ^^ (Its for english too)

Graphics? Music? Cinematics? Monsters? Spells? Difficulty? Vehicles?
Mind you, this is an 8 bit game, so, being such, all those items are formidable, and as far as I am aware, they can´t be compared to anything of its time.
In other words: the best.

Five meseta will get you ten that that one was raised on PSO...
BTW, I have the MD LE PSI... it is indeed worth it for the back cover and instruction book art, all of which was done by Reiko Kodama.
I just want to know how, in only 1,000 years, that Native Motavians went from having jowly, Chuck E. Cheese-type rat faces to having beaks... O_O

For the most part they do (especially in IV), but the black-and-white art in the PSI MD LE instruction book shows clearly the pronounced incisors that I thought I saw on their faces circa 1988...

To be honest, until I played PS4 I thought they looked like rats, but the PS4 art work convinced me that I was imaginating things.
