I was going to tell my father the max amount of meseta you can get in Phantasy Star. He says "a little above 65000, right?"

I was astonished. He can't even send a photo in a text message, never mind knowing anything about hexadecimals. So, I was like "how did you know that?"

He goes "the first time I played, I maxed it out before getting Myau because I didn't know what to do."

Tough to say, exactly. Killing Swarms and Scorpions, never more than two at a time? At least 200-300, I would imagine.

There are several places you can visit before getting Myau, though, so the bestiary doesn't have to be limited to that.

Deadtree, Maneater, Owl Bear, Fishman...I think that just about covers it, unless he wandered into the Iala Cave.

Hypothetically, you could fight some other enemies on Motavia, but his issue was getting the Roadpass.

I asked him a bit more about it.

When he went to Scion, and attempted to buy Secrets, the guy said "I don't know who told you that. You had better leave" or whatever...my dad was like "oh, okay" and forgot all about it.

Old coding did not allow values over 66535. PS Team capped it at 65000, as any risk of going over 66535 would glitch the game.

My father barely knows how to turn a computer on.
