I was wondering if there was any lore about the Sword of Ango (Ang... or Anger?) that you come across in the Red Dam in Phantasy Star II.

Where did you find the first image, which calls the weapon "Sword of Ango," from? As far as I know, Swd of Ang stands for Sword of Anger; it's called the Angry Sword in Phantasy Star Generation:2. Whoever wrote whatever the first image is from probably didn't know that, and only saw "Swd of Ang" and probably made up "Ango" out of thin air.

The first image is from the Genesis (U.S.) Phantasy Star II instruction manual.

The second image (on the Red Dam) is from the Hint Book that was originally included with the game in the U.S., and part of the reason it cost $79.99 when it reached store shelves here in the U.S. in early 1990 (despite the 1989 copyright)

Sword Of Ango is the one I've known it. Sword of Anger is new to me.

Pretty sure its a bad translation of Anger.

Yeah, that always struck me as strange that they introduced a strong weapon with such a distinct name but didn’t expand upon it at all.
