To my greatest shame. I have to confess that I have yet to beat either Phantasy Star.

That's okay. I only beat Phantasy Star II in 2015.

Phantasy Star (original game) I beat in 2013. Phantasy Star III also in 2013, and Phantasy Star IV in around 2011.

Regarding Phantasy Star Generation 2: No. All 8 characters have their own unique sprites.

It's also easier to tell the difference between the two: Hugh wears a scarf, and Kain wears gloves.

I dont mean the old games. I mean the new ones Gen 1 and 2.

I beat PS1 way back in 1991 when I first owned it. PS2 while renting it in 1993 and PS3 the same year. 4 in 2008 when I bought the SEGA Classics collection for PS2.

TEh Genesis collection has PS2, 3 and 4. But erases saves when you play a different one so I lost all my 4 saves.

As for Generation 1: I got all the way to Dezo and had all the Laconian gear. Then something erased the save. I still don't know what happened. I've just not been motivated to replay it.

And Generation 2: Im only up to the Biosystems LAb. Anna keeps dieing.

Game erases are never motivating to start again.

Yeah, Anna can die often. It's better to level her up often.
