I'm doing a Raja solo

This is not easy. Raja dies very quickly. He has no armor and just a Circlet (purchased in Krup). I am at level 11 right now and grinding outside Tonoe for the time being.

Wait until you get to Sa Lews...

Oh, I doubt I will have an easy time with Sa Lews (or any boss that has a fire based attack)

I beat Juza at level 20. It was fairly easy. I did get knocked down to single digit health a couple times, but that was just me being overly aggressive and him using Foi or Forceflash a few times in a row. I probably could have done it at level 18 or 19 had I thought to put on two shields while ascending the tower (as I had no intention of fighting anything). I picked up the Laser Barrier and bought a Graphite Shield in Aiedo, which gave me a lot more buffer when it came to being able to escape from anything other than a Ripper.

Having the Land Rover will make things easier when it comes to grinding.

I have tried at every level since 32 to beat Gy-Laugiah without success. I'm cautiously optimistic that I can do it at 37. Stay tuned.

I probably could beat him at 37 if I got friendly enough RNG and played it conservatively enough, but I'm better off gaining another level or two.

I'll be able to win at level 38. Gy going first and using Firebreath=Raja dies. That happens maybe once per fight at this point.

After about a dozen failures, some more infuriating than others, I managed to beat Gy at level 39. I was beginning to become tempted to make a save state on the fifth floor right before the battle, as there was little threat of me dying on the way up (only Flyscreamers posed a threat), but I was able to resist such a temptation. As a wise man once said regarding video game challenges, if you're getting ready to settle, it's time to do something else.

So, I soldiered on and managed to win. It wasn't easy, and I played it very, very conservatively. Raja had to use Ataraxia at one point, as his 240 TP wasn't enough (I used Dimates as well).

Zio was so incredibly easy. He never even got close to putting Raja in danger. Now it's time for Kuran and DF1, probably after some grinding. After that, I'll be able to give Raja two shields and use the Flame Sword/Thunderclaw/Tornado Dagger, which will be a huge help.

I didn't really grind much. Beat DF1 at level 41. I did die once, but that was only because of me hitting the wrong button.

The Xe-A-Thouls weren't difficult. In retrospect, I probably should have just stuck with my Silver Circlet/Psy Shield/Psy Shield/Phantarobe setup that I had throughout the Air Castle. I equipped the Psycho Wand because the Xe-A-Thouls have a 04 multiplier for Factor 6 that I wanted to exploit. Had I stuck with the shields, their counter probably would have been nullified to the point that I could have just used St. Fire a handful of times and quickly won.

Lashiec wasn't too difficult. If anything, he might actually be more difficult with the normal party at a lower (say 32-33) level than he was for Raja at level 48.

I expected to get paralyzed by Ghouls in the Garuberk Tower a bunch of times, but it didn't happen once. I certainly wasn't complaining. DF2 at level 57 wasn't easy, but Raja was only in serious danger of dying once, after a high damage Light Shower followed by a high damage Shadow Breath. The battle just took forever.

DF3 was easier than DF2 for sure. Again, it took a long time. Lots and lots of Flame Sword Flaelis/Tornado Dagger Hewns.

De-Vars wasn't bad at all. Sa-Lews, on the other hand, will be extraordinarily difficult.

Yep, Raja has a good magic defence, though since he's weak to fire and since Sa-Lews has 178 mental, Sa-Lews' Flaeli could easily do around 240 damage at times.

I'd imagine that it *can* do significantly more than that. Probably close to 300.

Now it's simply a question of where to grind. Ordinarily, I'd go with Vahal Fort, because there's more XP per battle and significantly more meseta. In this case, though, Rykros is probably a better option. Raja can use Holyword/St. Fire and doesn't have to worry about Stasis Ball.

Do you have any video of your progress?
I'd like to see some battles fought.
