As a player I'm not particularly interested in learning how to cheat in PSO.
I accept gifts, but if the item in question has obnoxiously hacked stats/%s then most likely I won't use it. Regarding mags, I may accept mags only in the case of my very first char, and only while I raise my own, point at which either I give it back it give it to someone who needs it (actually I never sell something another player might need, perhaps that explains why my inventory is always full).
Regarding other people I don't mind if they're legit or not as long as they're fun to be around and don't take the fun from me or others. I stand by the opinion of some of you that both extremes are repulsive, be it 1337 |-|4><0r5 or legit nazis. Actually the idea of a 100% legit server is an opium dream and reminds me of my NWN days: we grew with the concepts of "good" and "bad" in our heads, and so we need both to exist to have balance. In a society without the slightlest breach of the laws, the citizens would soon look for more things to consider "illegal" until you got arrested even for breathing in an inapropiate way, because subconsciously we need both to exist.
...however it's also true that excess GS kiddies destroy the trust in games and make us all paranoic.
Finally, regarding Nol victims, perhaps having stopped visiting Oberon after your first Noling would have helped =P
Regardless of whether Sega or private servers, cheaters are known for congregating in the first servers of the server list, I usually mark those as the PSO ghetto and avoid them like the plague. Ok, it also helped me having a disc that was somewhat immune to ck, Noling, etc... don't ask, I myself don't know how, but more than one tried the aforementioned on me and it never worked.
